Our Story
Our Shaklee story starts when I was a little younger and a lot more self willed. I had a picture of what life should look like but that was drastically changed early on in married life.
The first drastic change was the day my husband, a engineer, came home one afternoon and told me that his position had been eliminated. It’s one of those feelings that gives you a sick feeling in your stomach.
As a young wife, having your husband tell you he just lost your job threatens your definition of security. Although today, I realize a “job” is not security at all.
At the time my husband got laid off I was teaching school. It was at a private Christian school with a very humble salary. I had been introduced to the Shaklee products by another teacher because I complained I had NO energy.
After only one month of using the products I couldn’t believe how much better I felt. Although I loved the products I had no intention of making it a business. However, my husband decided after getting laid off that he would look at Shaklee as a business. My Response, "YOUR ARE GOING TO WHAT??"
After looking at options for work my husband looked at the Shaklee Compensation plan and decided it was a rock solid company that would make a difference in other’s lives as well. It was a great way for us to stay home and build a business that would last for a lifetime.
In a couple of years we replaced both our salaries. Whether you’re looking for a way to earn a part-time or full time income, build something for yourself or add to a retirement income because your retirement just doesn’t seem to go far enough. Or you may just want to enjoy proven, quality products.
One of the great things about Shaklee is that I get to work with some amazing people…my friends! They’re people from all walks of life – some used work in Corporate America, others work from home. Still others work in the public sector and do their Shaklee business on the side.
But there is a common denominator…we’re all guided some key principles:
My Trips
Like a lot of people, I decided to build a business with Shaklee because I love the products. It’s easy for me to share something I already love with others. Why not get paid to do it, right? And once I got started, I learned that if I put in the effort, I could earn INCREDIBLE trips on top of the cash bonuses I make.
Shaklee has taken us around the world! Places like Paris, Bali, and Tuscany just to name a few. They’ve also treated us to stays in some of the most fabulous beachside resorts in Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean. And when we travel with Shaklee, it’s always five-star. Dream destinations with experiences usually reserved for the rich and famous.
